Abstract

Employment termination policies sometimes have to be adopted by a company. This makes employees feel insecure about their work status. The minimum  number of employees and the feeling of insecurity felt by employees during work causes employees to feel work stress. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of job insecurity and workload both partially and simultaneously on employee work stress at Liberta Hotel Seminyak during the Covid-19 pandemic. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. Respondents in this study amounted to 31 respondents. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling. The data analysis technique used is the classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test, and the coefficient of determination. The results of this study indicate that partially job insecurity has a positive and significant effect on employee work stress. Workload has a positive and significant effect on employee work stress. Simultaneously, job insecurity and workload have a significant effect on employee work stress. The coefficient of determination test shows that the job insecurity and workload variables have a contribution of 76.0% to work stress and 24.0% is influenced by other variables that are not used in this study.
